The Hollywood Theater is a Portland treasure, and I love working with them to help promote their various events and ventures. The list of items that I have designed for them include: projection slides, advertisements for local publications, marquee slide design and various printed pieces.

As the Senior Designer on the Leatherman team, I was responsible for creating both digital and traditional projects. Shown here are the annual catalog and lookbook. Working on projects of this size and scope were just as challenging and satisfying as creating a digital experience for our customers.
My Role: art direction, book design and concepts.

My Roles: packaging design and concepts.
Right out of Portfolio Center I was lucky enough to find a job at Wieden + Kennedy in Portland, Oregon. And in an even luckier turn, I became a designer on the Starbucks Regional team. We were tasked with designing unique in-store and online materials for regional promotions and events.
My Role: design, production, branding and concepts.

Designing a heap of printed materials proved to be a nice distraction from the web design I had gotten used to. Although we did design portions of their online presence as well, none of it had the same satisfaction as crayons, cups and outdoor signage.
My Role: art direction, design, and concepts.
Creating a successful logo is one of the hardest things to do as a designer. We are tasked with communicating a brand's purpose and emotion in one single, elegant mark. My process normally begins with a discussion about who the brand is, and then heaps and heaps of sketches.
